Mutton – 1 Kg
Ginger, crushed –
Green chilli, slitted – 2nr
Gingelly oil – 50ml
Salt to taste
Curry leaf – a few
For making coarse Milagu kari masala powder
Whole black peppercorns – 3 tbsp
Cumin seeds – 1 ½ tsp
Method of preparation
- Coarse powder the milagu kari masala ingredients.
- In pressure cooker, add mutton, ginger and salt. Fry till water in mutton is dried out well.
- Add green chilli and milagu kari coarse masala powder. Stir well and add required amount of water now. Boil and then close the pressure cooker with lid. Allow to cook the mutton.
- Heat gingelly oil in a kadai, splutter curry leaf and cooked mutton mixture. Stir it and cook till it becomes semi dry consistency.
- It is very tasty to take with Idli, dosa and steamed rice.
