Bread slices, – 10nrs
Maida – 2 tbsp
Rice flour – 2 tbsp
Gram flour – 500gms
Red colour – a little for colouring
Salt to taste
Chilli powder – ½ tsp
Soda salt – a little
Oil – 1 litre
Water – as required
Making stuffing for Bread Pakoda:
Boiled Potato, mashed – 2nrs
Coriander leaf, chopped – a few
Greenchilli, chopped – 3nrs
Onion, chopped – 1nr
Chilli powder – half tsp
Salt to taste
Chaat Masala powder – half tsp
Garam Masala powder – half tsp
Method of Preparation
1.Prepare bread pakoda batter out of maida, rice flour, gram flour, salt, soda salt, little oil, enough water and red colour. Batter consistency should coat the bread slices nicely.
2.Make the stuffing out of the ingredients given in the column and this stuffing should be mixed nicely. Keep the potato stuffing over a bread slice and close this bread with another bread slice. Now cut the stuffed bread into diamond shape. Please note that the potato stuffing should be little and evenly spread over the bread slice.
3.Heat enough oil in kadai for deep frying the bread pakoda. Now dip the diamond cut bread slices gently into the batter and drop it into the hot oil. Deep fry the bread pakoda till it reach golden and crisp.
3.Serve hot with coconut chutney or tomato ketchup, it is best to serve in winter or as evening bite.
